"Promoting Excellence through Learning and Catholic Discipleship"
Welcome, Kia ora, Talofa lava, Namaste,

Since its beginning in 1911, St Mary's has had a proud tradition in:

  • Nurturing the faith development of its students;
  • Providing top quality teaching and learning programmes;
  • Fostering achievement in all aspects of school life;
  • Preparing students for the next steps in their life journeys.

Indeed our Mission Statement is: "Promoting Excellence through learning and Catholic Discipleship." Also our vision is: "Treasure in your heart all things".

The Catholic Special Character of our school is based on the Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ and is strengthened by the Social Justice Values and the School Gospel Values of Love, Aroha, Courage, Ratonga, Community, Whanau and Service. Our school is an integral part of the St Mary's Parish and enjoys contributing to activities of the wider Foxton community.  We provide a caring and safe environment where the students report that they feel safe.

With classes from Year One to Year Eight, our students receive continuous education from enrolment through to the end of their Primary schooling, when they progress on to college.  Most students enrol in St Peter's in Palmerston North or Manawatu College in Foxton.

We have designed our website to provide you with an overview of life at our school.  We look forward to your personal contact, if you require more information or wish to visit the school, please contact the school.

Your welcome at St Mary's is genuine, warm and assured. Kia tau ki te rangimārie.
