Our Uniform

Uniforms

We appreciate the expense and effort that parents and caregivers make in order to have students meet the School’s uniform standards. 

To assist us in maintaining this high standard, please go through the uniform requirements below carefully with your child to check that what they are wearing as uniform at present is acceptable. 

If you are in any doubt about issues to do with the uniform, please talk with the Principal.

All uniform items are available from The Uniform Centre through mail order, order forms are available at the School Office. 

Culottes can also be purchased from Postie Plus in Levin.

Each year, all students are required to be in the full summer uniform by Labour Weekend and in the winter uniform by Queen’s Birthday Weekend.

Sunhats are supplied by the school, and are compulsory for terms 1 and 4 as per our BOT health and safety policy.

Hair

All learners with collar length hair or longer will have their hair tied up using unobtrusive white, green or black hair ties.

Plain white, green or black unobtrusive head bands are acceptable.

Hair dyes and extreme hairstyles are not acceptable. This is at the discretion of the Principal.

Jewellery

 Necklaces/ Taonga with cultural or religious significance are permitted to be worn. Students may be asked to wear these tucked beneath their polo shirts for health and safety reasons. 

Earrings: only small, round, plain gold/silver or coloured studs may be worn. Up to one in each earlobe. If there are any discrepancies, the final decision will be that of the principal.

No sleepers to be worn.

Any other requests will be at the Principal’s discretion.

Nail polish and make-up are not to be worn.

NB: Thermal undergarments to be V-Neck – white, grey, navy blue or black and must not be visible under school uniform items.
